Jin Jiji, India’s pioneering artisanal gin, has been awarded 98 points and a Gold Medal at the London Spirits Competition 2025, making it the highest-rated gin in the world this year. In a landmark moment for Indian spirits, it was also crowned ‘Spirit of the Year’, the competition’s top honour—cementing its position not just as a standout gin, but as one of the best spirits from India across all categories.

In its most competitive edition to date, the 2025 London Spirits Competition saw over 500 entries from 30+ countries, including leading international gin houses and heritage spirit labels. Its commanding performance puts India at the forefront of the global gin conversation, delivering a bold statement about the country’s fast-rising craft credentials.

Crafted using Himalayan juniper, tulsi (holy basil), chamomile, and a curated selection of Indian botanicals, it has consistently impressed connoisseurs with its layered complexity, balance, and a flavour profile deeply rooted in India’s biodiversity and cultural nuance.

Ansh Khanna, founder of Peak Spirits, makers of Jin Jiji, said, “India has always had the ingredients for world-class spirits—what we needed was belief and craft,” said. “To be recognised as the world’s top-rated/best gin and the Spirit of the Year is not just a win for us—it’s a win for Indian craftsmanship on a global stage.”
