Chhotu Maharaj Food and Hospitality Pvt. Ltd has entered the food industry with its unique concept - Chhotu Maharaj Cloud Kitchen. K Sera Sera Box Office, a flagship company of KSS Limited, had earlier this year come up with the world’s first dome structured ‘Cine Restaurant and Cafe' concept under the brand name of ‘Chhotu Maharaj’ serving 7-course and 3-course meals with the latest movie release which takes movie watching experience to a different level.
This cloud kitchen concept is a very unique initiative launched by the company which offers entrepreneurship opportunities without any Investment. A risk-free business model offered by the company is designed to supply pure vegetarian food which comes in semi-processed food packets to the franchises who in turn are responsible to convert the same into finished form and supply them to consumers ordering food through food delivery applications like Swiggy and Zomato. All you need is a minimum 150 square foot home kitchen. The company is expecting to generate revenue of Rs 40 crore with this unique concept by generating lakhs of employment and entrepreneurship across the country.
It can be described as a new-age cloud kitchen of the home maker, by the home maker serving Indian delicacies from their home kitchen or commercial premises. The recipes served are specially designed for the customers by the expertise of India’s top caterers Devendra Kotecha (joint secretary of Bombay Catering Association and Federation of All India Caterers), Vipul Badiani (Maharashtra Zone chairman of Federation of All India Caterers and Committee Member of Bombay Catering Association), and Bhavik Badiani who comes with quality experience of more than 5 years in the cloud kitchen business.
The company has planned for only 108 outlets across Mumbai. Over 5,000 applications were received in its first round. After thorough compliance, 30 franchisee outlets had been granted and have been signed, these franchisees will commence serving food from October 17, 2020, in Mumbai. Apart from partnering with Zomato and Swiggy as aggregators, the company will soon be launching its own food ordering application, making it easier and offering a more customisable experience to the customer. The company expects to scale up the number of franchisees in 70 other cities of India based on the demographics of the cities.
Clyde Monteiro, CEO, K Sera Sera, said, “We are glad to be continuing with our tradition of launching traditional concepts in a modern way, which not only keeps the taste of India alive for generations but also offers unique opportunity of entrepreneurship to many in these troubled times.”
According to the company, any individual or family who can fulfil the basic requirements of getting the franchise can become an entrepreneur and earn approximately Rs 60,000 to Rs 3 lakh per month.
Satish Panchariya, chairman, K Sera Sera, said, “When we first launched Chhotu Maharaj with a unique concept, we began with the expectation of generating jobs for thousands throughout the country. Chhotu Maharaj Cloud Kitchens will now take it forward by developing thousands of entrepreneurs in the country.”
“Understanding the present scenario of job and income losses due to the pandemic, and the effect it is and will continue to have on many households, our concept is a step towards supporting the society and the efforts of the government in generating an additional family income for the affected,” Panchariya added.
