The Lohiya Group has inaugurated a biscuit manufacturing facility at Medchal, near Hyderabad, in Telangana, showcasing its commitment to technology-driven, sustainable production in the FMCG space. The group has signalled plans to invest Rs 300 crore over the next four years, reinforcing its strategic vision for expansion in the food processing sector.
The new plant, set up under Lohiya Confectionery, blends cutting-edge technology with an innovation-first mindset aimed at long-term scalability and environmental responsibility. Spread across seven acres, the unit currently has a production capacity of 1,000 tonne per month, with a modular design that allows it to scale operations up to 5,000 tonne per month in the future.
This adaptability is expected to support the company’s growth in both domestic and export markets. The facility is poised to generate significant employment opportunities, providing 2,000 direct employment opportunities and supporting an additional 4,000 roles across its extended supply and distribution ecosystem. The group’s Medchal facility is positioned to play a pivotal role in the regional economy and India’s broader processed food industry.
