Lotte India appoints Debabrata Mukherjee as MD of Havmor Ice Cream

Lotte India Corporation has announced the appointment of Debabrata Mukherjee as the new Managing Director for its Havmor Ice Cream division, entrusting him with responsibility for steering strategy, growth, and innovation within India’s ice cream portfolio.
Mukherjee brings over three decades of experience in leadership, marketing, strategy, and operations. Before joining Lotte, he served as Managing Director and CEO of Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) and held senior leadership roles at The Coca-Cola Company across India, South Korea, and Southwest Asia.
In his new role, Mukherjee will lead Havmor’s next chapter of expansion, overseeing brand strategy, innovation pipelines, and market penetration. He succeeds Komal Anand, who recently moved to manage another ice-cream business.
Commenting on his appointment, Mukherjee said,“I am delighted to join LOTTE India as Managing Director for Havmor Ice Cream. I look forward to building on the brand’s legacy and unlocking new frontiers of growth in India.”
Lotte India’s move reflects its intent to deepen focus on the ice cream segment, tapping Mukherjee’s proven expertise across brand scaling, operational execution, and consumer-facing businesses.
Havmor, founded in 1944 and acquired by Lotte in 2017, currently holds a strong market presence across India. Under Mukherjee’s leadership, the brand is expected to accelerate product innovation, enhance distribution, and expand its footprint in both urban and emerging markets.
