Singapore-based Mobikon, one of the leading providers of online customer engagement solutions for the restaurant industry, launched mEngage, a single platform customer engagement and marketing product for the restaurant industry.

This platform will allow restaurants to drive precise customer engagement programmes in a seamless manner and also harness the power of big data to enhance customer experience to an unprecedented level.

What’s new?
mEngage is a technology that will greatly enhance the way restaurants engage with and manage their customers. It offers a host of new features, including:

Intuitive and precise collection of customer feedback that behaves differently each time that is useful, intelligible and valuable to restaurants

Smart campaigning technology that allows restaurants to engage customers in a personalised manner across the journey with the brand, reducing manual hours

Anytime, anywhere access to all digital information – including data from third-party sites – with a single dashboard, that enables seamless transactions on the cloud

A vibrant design palette with thousands of templates to choose from

A gifting and pre-buying platform taking customer engagement to a new level

Armed with this technology, restaurants can now engage with customers across all digital touch points, launch and run targeted campaigns, drive returns on investments (ROI) and delight customers like never before.

“mEngage, is a revolutionary product that will help a restaurant capture a customer’s journey with their brand,” said Samir Khadepaun, founder and chief executive officer, Mobikon.

He added, “It is a futuristic day zero platform that will offer any restaurant business the agility to get FutureReady while reaping the benefits starting today.”

Expanding portfolios
Mobikon announced its position as the lead investor for the seed round raised by Hipcask, a pre-pay and gifting platform. With this move, Mobikon has become a significant stakeholder in the start-up and will leverage this partnership in order to unlock the latent potential in the gifting and pre-pay platform that will ensure improved revenues and customer delight for restaurants.

Hipcask, India’s first beverage discovery and gifting app raised a seed round led by Mobikon, a restaurant marketing and customer engagement platform. Hipcask is disrupting the loyalty market with their pre-paid cards called Passports.

Hipcask Passports work across multiple brands and offer consumers great value by pre-paying for ten beverages. The Hipcask Chai & Coffee Passport takes the Starbucks loyalty card heads, and their Craft Beer Passport is catering to the craft beer industry, which is just picking up in India.

The funds from this round will be used to build more on their tech platform and customer acquisition.

Several angel investors participated in the round, including Rajesh Sawhney, Japan Vyas and Roj (founder, perk.com), among others. Hipcask had earlier raised a round from Mobikon and Bold Capital.

Aneesh Bhasin, co-founder, Hipcask, said, “We have got a very exciting roadmap with our Passports, and it’s a great sign when your first  investor leads a new round. Hipcask is at a great spot where we have a very good proposition for consumers and brands as well. Our analytics platform is the first of its kind for alcohol brands, and now we will be working closer with Mobikon to scale the business very aggressively.”

Speaking about the investment, Khadepaun said, “We are very excited with our partnership with HipCask and we believe it is the right solution for restaurant brands to improve loyalty, increase revenue and take advantage of the Mobile Payment eco-system. There are exciting plans ahead with HipCask and we look forward to bringing in more value to restaurants.”
