Mountain Dew Baja Blast just gave fans exactly what they didn’t know they needed: a machete-wielding Danny Trejo, a monkey, and a remix of a ‘90s bop. Recently unveiled ‘Have a Baja Blast’, a bold new 30-second spot that poses a ridiculous question: would you let Danny Trejo chop the top off your Baja Blast with his machete?
The commercial drops viewers into Baja Beach – a sun-drenched tropical paradise where 20oz bottles of Baja Blast grow straight from palm trees. It’s 30 seconds of pure, unserious fun, scored to a Baja-style remix of the ‘90s classic ‘No More I Love You’s’ and directed by Emmy-nominated sketch writer and director Dan Opsal.
