The packaging industry is now trying to evolve since single-use plastic proved to be hazardous to biodiversity, where comes the need to introduce the substitute which does least or no harm to the environment.
Packman - a one-stop solution for all kinds of packaging needs - has come up with eco-friendly bags that are made up of corn with the existing clients (Flower Aura, Jockey, Fabindia and Amazon, to name a few).
Corn is a biodegradable ingredient that will not harm biodiversity. Since it renews itself, it grows in the soil, which makes these bags decomposable. It gets dissolved in soil and does not harm the environment.
As the corn grows, it draws in carbon dioxide from the air, and also provides us fresh breathable air. Some of the carbon from the air ends up in the plants roots, which remain in the soil after the cane or stalk is cut.
Most bags that are manufactured from plastic are hazardous, like poly lactic acid blend. Bio-based polymers will contaminate the recycling of other more common polymers, So Packman's biodegradable corn bags prove to be the best substitute or alternative for plastics in the coming future.
