Leading beverage major Parle Agro, the powerhouse behind iconic brands like Frooti, Appy Fizz, and Smoodh, has reported a stellar financial performance for the fiscal year 2024-25. The company’s consolidated net profit witnessed a massive multi-fold jump, soaring to Rs 115.38 crore in FY25, a significant leap from the Rs 17.3 crore recorded in the previous fiscal.
This explosive bottom-line growth—representing a nearly 567% increase—comes on the back of disciplined cost management and steady topline momentum. Revenue from operations for the Prakash J. Chauhan-led entity rose by 5% year-on-year to reach Rs 3,284.13 crore, compared to Rs 3,126.06 crore in FY24.
One of the most notable highlights of the year was Parle Agro’s ability to drive profitability while actually reducing its marketing outlay. The company trimmed its advertising and promotional expenses by approximately 7.7%, spending Rs 256.83 crore in FY25 against Rs 278.38 crore in the year prior. This strategic shift suggests a move toward more targeted marketing and improved operational leverage. The company’s total expenses remained remarkably stable, inching up only 0.8% to Rs 3,221.39 crore. This tight control over overheads, combined with a 5% rise in total income (including other income) to Rs 3,370.14 crore, served as the primary catalyst for the profit surge.
Domestic sales continues to be the primary engine for the unlisted beverage giant, contributing Rs 3,214.27 crore to the total revenue. Export earnings were recorded at Rs 30.07 crore for the same period. As the Indian beverage market becomes increasingly competitive with the entry of new players and the expansion of quick-commerce, Parle Agro’s FY25 results underscore its resilient brand equity. With its dairy-based drink Smoodh and staple juice brands continuing to hold strong market share, the company is well-positioned to leverage its lean cost structure for future expansion in the non-alcoholic beverage segment.
