Planet Organic India is now working to strengthen its subscription-based service model which can be customised according to customers monthly needs. The company also has a free home delivery service keeping the best interest of its customers in mind.
The company founded by Shubhlakshmi Tiwari, and Praveen Kumar Gupta, kicked off operations in June last year. Currently it is known for its wide range of FSSAI and ECOCERT certified organic products such as rice, flours, edible oils, spices, dry fruits, pulses and so on.
Its ‘Organic Kitchen’ has three options: Organic Kitchen Basic, Organic Kitchen Premium and Organic Kitchen Premium plus. The subscription service facilitates users with a list of monthly kitchen essentials covering spices, edible oils, pulses, rice, flour and so on, all of which are daily needs backed with the guarantee of chemical free organic products.
“There is a growing mindfulness about healthy living. The recent pandemic has reiterated the importance of eating nutritious food. We are what we eat and so it is important to be conscious of the food we intake. Therefore our focus is making nutritious food affordable for all,” Shubhlakshmi Tiwari, director and co-founder, Planet Organic India, told F&B News.
“This is a bootstrapped start-up. We are working with our own resources and till now no external funding is incorporated into the company capital,” she added.
“Our Organic Kitchen is a first-of-its-kind subscription service that allows customers to buy the one month’s kitchen necessities at one go with the option to modify the monthly needs according to customer their preferences. The subscription model is flawless that it gets delivered every month or on desired frequency at the doorstep of a customer which is entirely hassle free,” Tiwari stated.
Although before delivery of order, a confirmation call and email are being sent to customers. The discount on each organic kitchen is so tempting that no one can deny it. This subscription plan helps customers in hassle free shopping, saving time and money. Eventually they have access to the right healthy organic food products.
As more and more people have started focusing on their health, many businesses have also emerged with similar focus, for organic food produce. Our competitors help us to innovate new concepts, Tiwari noted.
The positive acceptance of the brand is a heartening experience and has given a boost to the entire team to work harder to increase the customer base. Currently its largest presence is through the company website online order of customers with doorstep delivery of organic products. Efforts are on to expand to offline grocery stores and supermarkets of Delhi-NCR, Indore and few cities of Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The company is also developing a mobile app to provide a personalised shopping experience of organic products.
“Plans to open a training center for organic farming to spread awareness and teach farmers about the certification process, cultivation methodology and market opportunity are underway. Considerable focus to bring in women into the farming and empowerment in rural areas of Madhya Pradesh,” concluded Tiwari.
