Kimberley Almeida, Mumbai
ProPak Asia 2026, the premier international trade exhibition for processing and packaging technology in Asia, is set to open a new chapter as it moves to Impact Muang Thong Thani with expanded scale, enhanced infrastructure, and stronger global participation. The event will bring together industry leaders, technology innovators, manufacturers, and decision-makers across food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care, FMCG, and consumer goods sectors under one powerful platform.

As global supply chains continue to evolve, manufacturers are accelerating investments in automation, digitalisation, sustainability, and intelligent production systems. Rising production costs, regulatory pressures, and increasing demand for traceability and environmentally responsible packaging are reshaping industrial strategies across ASEAN and beyond. ProPak Asia 2026 will serve as a strategic gateway where these challenges meet practical, commercially viable solutions.

ProPak Asia 2026 will take place from June 10 to 13, 2026, at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre. It will bring together leading processing and packaging brands from around the world to showcase cutting-edge technologies, complemented by a diverse programme of engaging seminars and activities. All initiatives are focused on connecting businesses to a sustainable future through strong and collaborative ecosystems.

Sanchai Noombunnam, country general manager – Thailand, Informa Markets, said, “In today’s environment, uncertainty is pushing industry to upgrade faster. ProPak Asia 2026 will help companies access the technologies, partners and insights they need to improve efficiency, strengthen quality and compliance, and build more sustainable operations—from production and processing to packaging, warehousing and logistics.”

ProPak Asia 2026 is expected to feature over 2,500 exhibiting brands from 45 countries, showcasing innovations across the entire processing and packaging value chain. The exhibition continues to strengthen its international reach, expected to welcome over 80,000 exhibitors and trade visitors from across ASEAN, China, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Europe, and other key global markets. As Southeast Asia remains one of the fastest-growing manufacturing and consumption hubs, the event plays a critical role in connecting global technology suppliers with regional industrial demand.

The 2026 edition marks the 33rd edition of ProPak Asia. Over the years, the event has grown significantly in scale, international participation, and technological scope, evolving into one of Asia’s most influential exhibitions for processing and packaging industries.

This year, the show will adopt the theme, ‘New Horizons: Connecting Processing & Packaging Ecosystems, Empowering Sustainability’. This theme reflects the event's commitment to fostering a complete ecosystem that connects businesses, organisations, associations, and suppliers from all angles. The aim is to create a central hub where manufacturers can find all the necessary solutions and insights, enabling them to prepare and grow holistically, while also prioritising sustainable solutions that lead to long-term business success and a competitive edge.

The 2026 edition will spotlight next-generation technologies including AI-powered automation, robotics, smart factory systems, IoT-enabled production monitoring, advanced processing equipment, cold chain innovations, and sustainable packaging materials and design. Circular economy solutions, recyclable and reusable packaging formats, lightweight materials, and digital product identity technologies are expected to be key themes reflecting global industry transformation.

A major addition is the DigitalisationAsia zone, specifically designed to address the growing importance of digitalisation and smart manufacturing. This new zone will bring together technology leaders to showcase solutions that enhance productivity, improve traceability, reduce environmental impact, and support data-driven decision-making across the value chain. It will feature innovations in Industry 4.0 and smart factory solutions, as well as automation, robotics, and AI and machine learning applications.

Beyond the exhibition floor, ProPak Asia 2026 will feature high-level conferences, technical seminars, industry forums, and networking sessions addressing market trends, regulatory updates, sustainability frameworks, and digital transformation strategies. These knowledge platforms provide industry professionals with forward-looking insights to navigate the rapidly changing industrial landscape.

Onsite feature stages and platforms include: ProPak Stage – keynotes and trend talks on smart manufacturing and packaging transformation; ProPak Gourmet – workshops and live demonstrations on food innovation and processing technologies; ProPak Drinksphere – a hub for beverage processing and packaging insights and demonstrations; Global Food Security & Technology Forum – showcasing emerging food technologies and next-generation packaging concepts; Creative Design Village – a showcase of award-winning global packaging and "Packaging Design Clinics" featuring one-on-one expert consultations to spark innovation; DIPROM Pavilion – a collaborative space by DIPROM showcasing the integration of digital technology, modern logistics, and industrial innovations to enhance efficiency.

ProPak Asia 2026 offers extensive opportunities for networking and collaboration through international pavilions, business matching, and on-site engagement platforms. Visitors can connect directly with global suppliers, technology providers, and industry leaders, fostering partnerships and investment opportunities.

Key trends include automation and robotics, AI and machine learning, smart factory/IIoT systems, data-driven operations, and sustainable processing and packaging aligned with circular economy principles. These trends reflect the industry’s shift toward efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
