Public is celebrating Oktoberfest with a curated selection of Indian craft beers and a specially designed snack menu at its Beer Hall & Snack Bar, bringing the spirit of Munich to its beer-hall experience.

The beer line-up features a range of styles from Indian breweries, encouraging consumers to explore flavours beyond conventional lagers. Highlights include Great State Aleworks’ Oktoberfest Märzen and Even Flow Scotch Ale, Rolling Mills’ Kura Kura Japanese Rice Lager, Toit’s Tint-In-Wit and Igloo Brewing’s Public Poha Lager. The selection also includes Smash IPA, Absurdist Stout, Banana Republic Hefeweizen and 2 Down’s Basil Blonde.

Curated by Nevil Timbadia, the selection brings together different breweries and beer styles, including Märzen, India pale ale (IPA), stout, wheat beer and Japanese rice lager. The initiative aims to make beer discovery an integral part of the Oktoberfest experience, offering consumers an opportunity to sample different styles and identify their preferences.

“For us, Oktoberfest was a chance to have some fun with beer and put together a line-up that gives everyone something to reach for. We’ve picked beers across breweries and beer styles, from a proper Märzen to IPAs, stouts, wheat beers and even a Japanese rice lager. The idea is simple: order a pint, try something new, find your favourite and then order another,” said Timbadia.

Complementing the beer selection, chef Sohin Bhattacharyya has developed an Oktoberfest Snack Bar menu that combines German beer-hall influences with its distinctive culinary approach. The menu features Potato Salad Chaat, prepared with crisp potatoes, aloo chaat and kasundi yoghurt; Tadka Shpet-Sluh, featuring fried German-style egg pasta tossed with curry leaves, cracked pepper and smoked Bandel cheese; and Sausage Roast, comprising pork bratwurst served with spiced caramelised onions and curry ketchup.

Through its combination of Indian craft beers and German-inspired food with local flavours, it aims to offer a social dining experience centred on beer exploration, shared plates and Oktoberfest celebrations.
