Regaal Resources and Gopal Sweets to expand business in north India

The food processing sector in India is vital for the diversification of agricultural activities, enhancing value addition, and producing surplus agro-food products for export. This sector bridges agriculture and industry, boosting the value of agricultural produce, ensuring better prices for farmers, and generating global demand for Indian agricultural products. Recently, two of the leading food processing companies - Regaal Resources and Gopal Sweets made announcement of expansion plans in north India.

Regaal Resources
Regaal Resources Limited (RRL), a leading agro-processing company based out of India, is engaged in the manufacturing of best quality maize starch, specialty starches, food grade starches and starch derivative products.

The company has recently announced an expansion plan to set up a maize starch manufacturing unit at Thakurganj in Kishanganj district of Bihar. The plan is at nascent stage but the company will be investing Rs 92.60 crore. This privately owned plant will process and produce industry starches.

Founded in the year 2016, the company is headquartered in Kolkata’s IT hub, Sector V and operates its state of the art manufacturing facility at Kishanganj, Bihar, one of the hubs of maize production in India.
Gopal Sweets

Chandigarh-based Gopal Sweets has revealed its expansion plan. The company is currently engaged in manufacturing of food products such as potato chips, corn chips, kebabs, desi wraps, soan papdi, pickles, cookies, ready to eat, namkeens and tin sweets.

Soon, the company plans to set up a sweets manufacturing unit at Mohali industrial economic zone in Rupnagar district of Punjab. The new unit at nascent sage will get an investment of about Rs 150 crore. This privately owned unit will be manufacturing sweets and processed food.
