Satchmo Foods has launched a new ready-to-cook product range aimed at offering fresh, homemade-style staples while ensuring hygiene, consistent quality and affordability for both institutional and retail consumers.

The newly introduced range includes Plain Chapati, Masala Chapati, Methi Chapati and Poori, available in packs of 10, along with Idli–Dosa Batter in 1 kg and 2 kg packs. Bulk formats are also being offered for institutional and HoReCa customers to cater to higher demand.

According to the company, the launch is designed to address a growing consumer challenge as many households and institutional kitchens struggle to access fresh, homemade-quality food without spending significant time on preparation or relying on highly processed alternatives. The products are minimally processed, preservative-free and made using carefully selected ingredients to maintain authentic taste and hygiene standards.

Pricing has been positioned to remain competitive in the market, with Plain Chapati priced at Rs 8 per piece, Masala Chapati at Rs 11, Methi Chapati at Rs 12 and Poori at Rs 5 per piece, while Idli–Dosa Batter is priced at Rs 71 per kilogram.

The company is primarily targeting B2B customers such as corporate cafeterias, restaurants, five-star hotels, hospitals, manufacturing units, educational institutions, government offices and catering companies. At the same time, it plans to expand gradually into the B2C segment to serve urban households seeking convenient daily meal solutions.

Initial distribution will focus on Bengaluru, with phased expansion planned across other major Indian metropolitan cities. Future retail channels will include modern trade outlets, general trade, direct-to-consumer platforms and quick commerce services.

Supporting the launch is the company’s recently inaugurated 15,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility on Magadi Road in Bengaluru. The facility is equipped with precision-controlled and energy-efficient systems and currently produces over 24,000 chapatis and around 5,000 kg of idli–dosa batter daily.

The plant complies with GMP, FSSAI and ISO standards and has been designed to ensure quality, hygiene and scalability as the company expands its portfolio to include snacks, sweets and ready-to-eat regional food products.
