Sawhney appointed as general manager at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace

Parag Sawhney has been appointed as the new general manager at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace. He brings with him over 17 years of illustrious industry experience.
His primary objective is to enhance the overall commercial performance of the hotel by growing the market share substantially and positioning the property as a market leader in its competition set.
Sawhney always places customers and people first, while ensuring guest satisfaction and keeping a keen eye on quality assurance at the hotel. He has a stellar record of rationalising costs and enhancing profitability, creating and sustaining a highly motivated work environment by empowering his team to take lead.
He has a natural knack of leading from the front, inspiring his colleagues to think beyond excellence, and developing a culture of success, collaboration and excellence, which translates into superlative guest and employee satisfaction.
In his current role, Sawhney will be spearheading various initiatives that guarantee outstanding guest service and financial profitability, and is expected to deliver his key priorities, i.e., people, quality, process, guest satisfaction and profitability.
He has proficiently developed his expertise through his tenure with leading global brands across the UK, the UAE and India.
Prior to his current role, Sawhney was vice-president, hospitality, at MRG Group, Bangalore, where he was responsible for groups for hotels and restaurants stretching across the Konkan belt from Bengaluru, Goa, Mumbai and north to Delhi NCR.
He led the successful pre-opening of the 35th Conrad property (Conrad Bengaluru) as opening general manager.
During his tenure at Hilton Bangalore Embassy Golf Links, Sawhney was general manager and quality lead, Hilton India and South East Asia.
At Hilton Chennai, he went on to helm the role of general manager from being the director of operations.
Sawhney started his career with the ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton in Mumbai, and then moved to Dubai to begin his stint with The Renaissance Dubai Hotel.
He holds a master’s in business management from Oxford Brookes University, and a bachelor of technology in hospitality administration and management from Dr D Y Patil Institute of Hotel Management.
