Sayaji Hotel Vadodara is set to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Bihar with "Maa Maati Bihar," a specially curated Bihari Food Festival at Cravings restaurant from July 17 to July 26, 2026. The festival aims to introduce diners to the authentic flavours of Bihar, going beyond the popular Litti Chokha to showcase the state's diverse regional cuisine.
Curated by the hotel's culinary team, the dinner buffet will feature a range of traditional Bihari dishes prepared using time-honoured recipes and authentic cooking techniques. Guests can savour signature offerings such as assorted Litti Chokha with chef's special varieties of chokha, Mutton Champaran, Bihari Kebabs, Jhalmuri, Sattu Paratha with Baingan Bharta, and a welcome drink made with nutrient-rich sattu flour. The dessert selection includes regional favourites like Malpua with Rabdi, Tilkut, Pitha, Thekua, and Khaja.
Inspired by the theme "Maati Ki Sugandh" (Aroma of the Soil), the festival will recreate the ambience of a traditional Bihari village. The venue will feature rustic décor with clay pots, brass utensils, wooden platters, charcoal-inspired elements, themed buffet displays, and a dedicated selfie booth. Adding to the immersive experience, the service staff will be dressed in traditional kurta, pyjama, and gamcha attire, while live music will complement the cultural setting.
Guests can also avail of a complimentary 1+1 offer on mocktails throughout the festival. The event is designed for families, food enthusiasts, and anyone interested in exploring India's regional culinary traditions.
