Scandalous Foods clocks 264% YoY revenue growth in 2025

Our Bureau, Mumbai
Scandalous Foods, one of India’s fastest-growing B2B food-tech innovators, has reported a robust 264% year-on-year revenue growth in calendar year 2025, driven by its frozen, technology-led operating model and deepening partnerships with mid-size and legacy restaurants across metro markets. Mumbai and Bengaluru emerged as the company’s strongest growth centres during the year.

Unlike conventional dessert brands, Scandalous Foods positions itself as a backend operating partner for restaurant kitchens rather than merely a sweet supplier. The company’s model addresses long-standing operational pain points in food service, including high wastage, reliance on skilled confectioners, inconsistency in output, and margin pressures. By offering portion-controlled, frozen dessert formats that can be thawed as needed, the brand enables restaurants to achieve consistency, longer shelf life, and ease of execution without heavy customer acquisition costs.

During CY25, Scandalous Foods expanded its portfolio with multiple product formats designed for diverse food service use-cases. These include single-serve portions for quick-service restaurants, bulk packs for banquet and catering operations, and limited-time mithai sundaes created for festive and special occasions. With a frozen shelf life of up to six months, the products function as high-margin add-ons, significantly improving unit economics for partner restaurants.

Commenting on the growth, Sanket S, founder, Scandalous Foods, said the company’s focus shifted from selling sweets to delivering operational reliability. He noted that mid-size and legacy restaurants often have strong demand and brand credibility but struggle with consistency and scalability. Scandalous Foods’ preservative-free frozen desserts, he said, help bridge this gap while simplifying supply chain challenges for chefs. He described the company as a “food-grid infrastructure” enabling Indian desserts to scale domestically and globally.

Looking ahead, Scandalous Foods plans to expand its footprint from 2,400 to 12,000 touchpoints in the next growth phase. Key priorities include launching 55g modern Indian dessert formats, strengthening cold-chain logistics, and exploring international markets. The company’s growth reflects a broader industry trend of formalising traditional food categories through food-tech-driven infrastructure and disciplined production systems.
