The cuisine of Sichuan, in South-West China, is currently being celebrated at Pondichéry Café, the all-day dining restaurant at Sofitel Mumbai BKC. The festival, which will conclude on May 19, 2019, is being held in association with Fairmont Chengdu.
Chef Jerry Tan from Chengdu has been flown in to curate the dishes, which will be on offer for lunch (between noon and 3pm) and dinner (between 7pm and 11:30pm). These include Sautéed Diced Chicken with Chili Pepper, Sweet-scented Sichuan Osmanthus Fish, Sichuan Spicy Fried Rice, Chicken Pepper MaJi, Stir-fried Meat with Sichuan Pepper and Mango Sago.
“We are pleased to invite culinary experts and artists from around the globe to create delightful gastronomic and cultural experiences for our guests,” said Neeraj Rawoot, executive chef, Sofitel Mumbai BKC.
“Our team of skillful chefs is curating authentic delicacies from the Sichuan province, in collaboration with Chef Tan from Fairmont Chengdu. The exotic cuisine highlights sweet, piquant, and bold flavours that exceeds expectations of guests with matured taste buds and palates,” he added.
