Singh appointed as exec sous chef at Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course

Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course hotel has appointed Nitish Kumar Singh as the executive sous chef. He is a passionate culinary expert, who has won much recognition in the food and beverage industry and provides the highest level of service by combining efficiency and skills with the right attitude to ensure customer satisfaction.
Singh has been a part of the culinary industry for over 10 years, and has a hands-on experience with food operations. He believes in encouraging creativity by empowering the team members and guiding them.
He is very innovative and is known to adopt unique approaches in the kitchen with much enthusiasm. He brings simple yet authentic Western and Italian food to the table to satiate palates of all ages.
Singh has had an incredible journey so far, that has seen him curate some delicious Western and Italian fare under the guidance of established names in the culinary world.
Before joining Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel, he has worked with Airways Hotel and Residences in Australia as executive sous chef, where he successfully overcame his challenging role as a chef.
Singh even got the privilege to successfully host and cater to then Indian president Pranab Mukherjee and his team at Airways Hotel, during his Papua New Guinea (PNG) visit in 2017.
He had even catered to all the Prime Minister’s and Parliament events of PNG. Before moving to Australia, he worked as an executive sous chef at Accor Hotels in Jaipur, Marriott International Courtyard by Chakan in Pune.
Singh started his career with Swissotel Hotel and Resorts as a chef, and was a part of the pre-opening team and later moved on to Grand Hyatt, Doha, as chef de partie. Later he joined Carnival Cruise Lines Miami, Florida as sous chef.
He hails from Bihar and holds a degree in hotel and catering management, catering technology and applied nutrition, Kolkata, recognised by Napier University.
Singh also holds a masters’ degree in nutrition science from Boston University. His profound knowledge of Indian cuisine combined with his hands-on approach in the kitchen makes him a huge source of inspiration for his junior team members to count on him.
When not at work, he enjoys travelling and exploring new places.
