South Indian vegetarian restaurant Banana Leaf opens outlet in Borivali

Banana Leaf, the vegetarian restaurant which offers the cuisines of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, has opened a new outlet in Borivali (West), Mumbai.
The meal, comprising an array of specialties from the four southern states, is served hot and fresh on a Vazhaillai (freshly-cut banana leaf). The leaf is not only hygienic, but also has medicinal properties. Moreover, oil and ghee do not stick to it.
Banana Leaf offers a huge variety of dosas and uthappams. Other items include Jain Thakalli Parippu Rasam (tomato dal rasam), Jeera Milagu Rasam (jeera pepper tomato soup), corn capsicum idli and semiya upma.
Those with a sweet tooth can wrap up their meals with Ada Payasam and Parippu Payasam. ?
