Swiggy Dineout ropes in Bhuvan Bam as ambassador for GIRF 2026

Swiggy Limited has announced the return of its flagship dining event, Swiggy Dineout’s Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF) 2026, with digital creator Bhuvan Bam coming on board as the official ambassador. The festival will run from February 15, 2026, for two months across 60 plus cities.
Positioned as one of India’s largest dining-out celebrations, GIRF 2026 promises up to 50% off at over 40,000 restaurants spanning cafes, pubs, bars, luxury dining, and family eateries. In addition, customers can avail an extra 10% instant discount on HDFC Bank cards and receive 10% back as Dinecash on bookings made via Dineout.
This year’s theme, “Bill Half. Party Full.”, anchors the campaign, highlighting a key consumer insight — dining out is enjoyable, but the bill often limits spontaneous celebrations. By reducing that barrier, Swiggy aims to drive higher frequency and larger group outings.
Bringing a cultural twist to the campaign is the integration of Bam’s popular digital universe, BB Ki Vines. Iconic characters such as Babloo, Babli, and Sameer feature in the flagship campaign film, representing relatable diner personas from the cautious bill-checker to the confident deal-grabber. The narrative humorously addresses common dining anxieties around discount caps and fine print, reinforcing the simplicity of GIRF’s value proposition.
Dhruvish Thakkar, AVP Marketing and Revenue, Swiggy Dineout, said the festival aims to make dining more accessible and rewarding for consumers while driving incremental footfalls and revenue for restaurant partners.
GIRF 2026 will be available in major metros including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Chennai, along with emerging food hubs such as Goa, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Udaipur.
Participating brands include Cafe Coffee Day, Barista, Punjab Grill, Biergarten, and Ironhill, among others.
The campaign will roll out across digital, social, creator ecosystems, and in-app formats, supported by limited-time “Crazzzy Deals of the Day,” complimentary beverages at select outlets, and extended happy hours, further amplifying the festive dining experience.
