Swiggy Expands its 10 minutes delivery offering ‘Bolt’ to 400+ Cities

Swiggy India’s pioneering on-demand convenience platform has scaled up its revolutionary 10 minutes food delivery offering, Bolt, to 400+ cities and towns across the country. It is redefining quick service by delivering fresh and hot food requiring minimal to zero preparation time from popular restaurants and QSRs in just 10 minutes. Designed for speed, it focuses on dishes that can be delivered without compromising on taste, freshness, or quality. It delivers food from more than 40,000 participating restaurants with a range of over 10 lakh items to choose from.

Launched initially in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune, it is now active not only in emerging hubs such as Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Indore, Coimbatore, and Kochi, but also in Tier 2 and 3 cities such as Roorkie, Guntur, Warangal, Patna, Jagtial, Solan, Nashik, Shillong amongst others. By strategically expanding into these key markets, the platform ensures that it caters to the growing demand for quick and reliable food delivery across both urban and smaller cities and towns. Cities from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have witnessed the highest adoption for it followed by Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Punjab.

Now the platform is actively partnering with restaurants to optimize order prioritisation for orders that have food items with minimum or no preparation time. To ensure safety of the delivery partners, they are not informed of the distinction between it and regular orders, and there is no incentive for fast delivery. The delivery radius for it is limited to 2 kms as of now which also increases familiarity and enables faster delivery. Additionally, the speed of delivery is optimized by prioritizing delivery executives closest to the outlets.

Customers can choose from a mix of well-known national brands like KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, Baskin Robbins, Starbucks, Chaayos, and EatFit, alongside local favorites like Gwalia Sweets in Ahmedabad, Shiraz and Kookie Jar in Kolkata, Karachi Bakery and G Pulla Reddy Sweets in Hyderabad, MM Mithaiwala in Mumbai, Bhartiya Jalpan and Anand Sweets in Bangalore, Sethi Ice-cream in Delhi, Irani Cafe in Pune among many others. In Tier 2 cities, top partners like Varalakshmi Tiffins in Guntur, Akhshay Tiffins in Mangalore and Baap of Rolls in Roorkie already have more than 10% of their orders.

Rohit Kapoor, CEO, Swiggy’s Food Marketplace, said, “Bolt is changing the way customers are experiencing food. For the first time, people are getting food from their favourite restaurants to their doorstep, as fresh as possible. Idlis come warm and fluffy, ice creams stay frozen, and even fries are crispy right out of the package. With all the customers love we’ve received so far as well as the growing excitement from both national and local restaurants, expanding Bolt was an easy decision. We’re thrilled to bring this experience to even more cities and homes.”
