The Tanjore Tiffin Room has unveiled Postcards from Tamil Nadu, a special pop-up by Chef De Cuisine Krish Shah, running from October 12 to November 1, 2026, across the brand’s Bandra, Versova and Nesco outposts.
The menu brings together the dishes, flavours and regional discoveries that stayed with him along the way, offering diners a glimpse into the diversity of Tamil Nadu through the food he encountered on his travels.
The meal opens with the comforting warmth of Murungakkai Rassam and the rich, seafood- infused Nandu Rassam, followed by Peanut Sundal and Kari Dosa with Salna, available in Jackfruit and Chicken. The menu then moves into more robust plates, from the peppery Mushroom, Chicken or Mutton Pepper Roast to juicy Mayandi Lamb Chops, deeply spiced Pallipaliyam Chicken and the hearty Bada Ghost.
A selection of Tamil Nadu gravies brings Dindigul Kolambu, Pachai Milagai Curry, Ellu Vengaya Kolambu and Ellu Vengaya Kolambu to the table, each with its own balance of spice, heat and depth, before the meal comes together with fragrant Dindigul Biryani, available with Chicken, Mutton or Vegetables, and flaky Nool Parota.
The appeal of the experience lies in these distinct flavours and the way a recipe can change from one town to the next, shaped by local ingredients, family traditions and the hands that cook it. The same ingredient can take on an entirely different character depending on where you eat it.
