The Bigg Small Cafe, part of the Shiv Sagar Group, has expanded its footprint with the launch of its third outlet in Thane, following the success of its outlets in Lower Parel and Andheri. The opening marks the brand's third outlet and strengthens its presence across Mumbai's growing dining landscape, reflecting the group's continued focus on creating hospitality concepts that bring people together through food, drinks, and shared experiences.

The expansion comes at a time when Thane continues to emerge as one of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region's fastest-growing dining and lifestyle destinations. Located in the heart of the city, the new outlet caters to Thane's growing community of young professionals, families, and social diners seeking an all-day destination that transitions seamlessly from a relaxed café during the day to a lively gathering spot in the evening.

Designed as a social destination, the Thane outlet blends contemporary comfort with youthful energy. A palette of deep maroon and forest green is complemented by graphic murals, statement lighting, and artistic installations, creating a space that feels warm, inviting, and visually engaging. Flexible seating arrangements, communal tables, and lounge-style corners encourage interaction, whether guests are catching up with friends, working remotely, hosting celebrations, or enjoying an evening out. As the day progresses, the venue transitions from a relaxed café setting into a lively bar experience, catering to everything from coffee meetings and casual lunches to evening gatherings and celebrations.

The menu brings together a mix of comfort-driven favourites and globally inspired flavours, reflecting the brand's approach to casual all-day dining. Guests can choose from DIY Wok Bowls, Old Delhi Butter Chicken, Truffle Mushroom Baklava, Kerala Pepper Chicken Momos, Dakshini Beet Galouti, and Khao Suey. The stone-fired pizza selection features offerings such as the Funghi Tartufo and Spezio Burrata Pizza, while desserts including the Tiramisu and signature Skillet Cookie round off the meal.

Complementing the food is an ingredient-led beverage programme designed to suit different occasions throughout the day. From specialty coffees and refreshing mocktails to signature cocktails such as Glow of The Irish, Jungle Juice, Hipster Smash, Lavender & Elderflower G&T, and The SoBo Charm, the menu reflects the venue's evolution from a relaxed daytime café into an evening-led bar experience.

Rooted in the philosophy that every win deserves celebration, regardless of its size, it was created as a space where guests can pause, connect, and enjoy meaningful moments over food and drinks. The philosophy continues to shape the brand's approach as it expands into new communities and dining destinations.

Narayan Poojari, chairman, Shiv Sagar Group, said, "As a group, we have always focused on building concepts that evolve with changing consumer lifestyles. Thane has emerged as one of the most vibrant dining markets in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, making it a natural choice for The Bigg Small Cafe's next phase of growth. We see strong potential in the city and are excited to bring the brand's experience to a wider audience."

Nikita Poojari and Ankita Poojari, founders, The Bigg Small Cafe, said, "The idea behind The Bigg Small Cafe has always been simple. We wanted to create a place where people could come together, celebrate everyday moments, and build meaningful connections with friends and family. With Thane, we are extending that vision to a new audience while continuing to build a brand that resonates with people across different stages of life."

Nikhil K. Rochlani, managing partner, The Bigg Small Cafe, said, "Thane has developed a strong dining culture, and we wanted to create a space that caters to different occasions throughout the day. Whether guests are joining us for a coffee meeting, a casual meal, a sports screening, or an evening out with friends, we want The Bigg Small Cafe to become a place they return to regularly.
