The Lodhi, New Delhi, presents its ‘Stay Safe Assurance’ Programme

The Lodhi, New Delhi, announced its ‘stay safe assurance’ programme for patrons and members of The Lodhi Club. During these unprecedented times of global pandemic, the property has been extremely cautious and has been working tirelessly and closely with experts internationally and locally, to find ways to elevate health, hygiene and safety standards.

The hotel has designed this programme in continuation with the guidelines outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO), Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Home Affairs. It has also announced its commitment to achieve the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. A Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, GBAC STAR is the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation. It provides a validation that the facility follows stringent protocols for biorisk situations and has the most rigorous protocols in place for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention, thereby demonstrating its preparedness and commitment to operating safely.

Rajesh Namby, GM, The Lodhi, New Delhi, said, “Since the beginning of this global pandemic, our foremost priority has been to create a programme that protects the health and wellbeing of our guests as well as team members. Our ‘stay safe assurance' programme will include enhanced sanitation and cleanliness measures to build customers' trust whilst meeting the expectations of our guests. The Lodhi experience may look different in this new environment, but we can assure you it will still deliver the warm, intuitive and personalised service we have been known for.  Our highest priority will be to continually provide our patrons with enriching experiences, blending our quintessential hospitality with modern-day comforts, whilst ensuring utmost care towards safety protocols at all touch points.”

The hotel is adopting several measures to not only further sanitise and clean guest and heart of the house areas but has also set up new protocols for rooms, restaurants and bars, public areas, salon and gym, as well as other non-guest areas.

Each floor at the hotel has 5 rooms and each room is separated by 15 feet, which will ensure safe distancing for guests. Bath amenities and private bar inclusions will be for single use, sanitised and sealed; the kitchen staff will wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment; in-room dining service/clearance will be done from the guest room doorstep and service in the room will be on request only. All restaurants and bars will be rigorously disinfected before opening and between each meal period. The gym will remain closed from 2 pm to 4 pm daily for deep cleaning and sanitisation, and all equipment will be sanitised through the day, after every use and so on.

While the Central government has not issued any specific guidelines for the reopening of gymnasiums in India, The hotel has developed a set of measures for its Athletic Club facilities in collaboration with renowned fitness expert Sumaya Dalmia, who creates personalised fitness routines for guests at the hotel along with her team.
