The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi is hosting a unique 9-day food pop-up, ‘Tales of Tangra’, featuring a specially curated menu by acclaimed Guest Chef Ho Chi Ming from The Westin Pune Koregaon Park. This exclusive pop-up will take place at the all-day dining, Seasonal Tastes from June 15 to 23, 2024, offering a tantalising journey through the flavours of Tangra.

It brings to life the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Tangra, the Chinatown of Kolkata, known for its unique blend of Oriental-Chinese and Kolkata street-style flavours. Chef Ho Chi Ming has meticulously designed a menu that captures the essence of this vibrant fusion cuisine, promising an unforgettable dining experience.

Tangra, steeped in heritage, traces its roots back to the early 20th century when Chinese immigrants settled in Kolkata, blending their traditions with Indian culture to create a unique Chinatown known for its rich history and culinary prowess. Its streets still resonate with echoes of the past, preserving a heritage that continues to thrive in the heart of the city.

Guests can look forward to a variety of exquisite dishes that showcase the best of Tangra cuisine such as Scallion Crepes, Homestyle Taro Cakes, Kari Fish Dumplings, a fiery and flavourful classic that needs no introduction; Sweet & Sour Prawns, delicate and savory- perfect for seafood lovers; Braised Pork Belly, a harmonious balance of tangy and sweet, reflecting traditional flavors; Four Season Green Beans, a savory delight of tender green beans wok-tossed with a medley of flavorful seasonings; Crispy Chilli Garlic Potatoes, a tantalising fusion of crispy fried potatoes tossed in fiery chili and aromatic garlic; Tangra style authentic Hakka noodles- Kolkata’s beloved quintessential street food.
