Two-level rooftop lounge 31 32 opens at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat

The highest rooftop lounge, 31 32,spans two levels of The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat (hence the name) and can accommodate 170 guests. Its highlights include curated culinary, signature cocktails, specialised dishes for the discerning palate. 

The Corian bar, on Level 31, boasts of large wine cabinets, which flank the entrance to the VIP lounge, with its two large red cocoon booths. It will open at noon every day. On weekdays, it will shut at midnight, and on weekends, it will shut at 2am.

The highlight of the 32nd floor is a portable bar and a drink rail along the glass railing. On weekdays, it will be open between 5pm and midnight, and on weekends, it will be open between 6pm and 2am.

The classy bar is home to heritage and new-world wines. It boasts of a collection of Italian aperitifs Campari, Martini, classic cocktails, premium whisky and beers. A wide selection of local as well as Italian, Australian, French and American wines.

“We are absolutely delighted to launch 31 32, the highest rooftop bar in Kolkata. We want our guests to remember the joys of heading to their favourite nightspot to let their hair down in the presence of lively entertainment, eclectic selection of drinks, personalised service, great food, and of course, the stunning view of the city scape from the topmost floors of The Westin Kolkata,” said Rahul Maini, general manager, The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat.

“At 31 32, we have curated the popular after-hours dishes and paired them with amazing cocktails. I believe that 31 32 would soon become the preferred place to unwind, and our hospitality and exciting offerings will keep our guests coming back for more,” he added.

The menu includes a wide variety of bar bites, popular finger-food and mains. The menu has been curated by Chef Vikas Prasad, executive chef at the hotel. 

The most popular items on the menu include the Barbeque Chicken Wings, Spiced Edamame Garlic Butter, Gambas Al Ajilo, Kosha Lamb Charcoal Bun Keema Bites, Mumbai Maska and a selection of fries.

Diners with a sweet tooth can end their meal with such desserts as Nutty Chocolate Rocher, Nolengur Cheese Cake and Hazelnut Crunchy Milk Chocolate Tart.

The signature cocktails in the menu will be Imli Sour, Black Gold, Spiced Pinarita, The Bitter Truth, Bloody Maria and The Prohibition Era.

A meal and drinks for two people will be priced at Rs 2,500 plus taxes.
