Vikram Aditya Singh appointed as GM of The Leela Palace Udaipur

The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has appointed Vikram Aditya Singh as the general manager of The Leela Palace Udaipur.

Born to a family of hoteliers, Singh has taken the helm of the world’s number 1 hotel. He comes with a rich experience of over two decades wherein he has been associated with some of the iconic domestic and international hotels.

He started his career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Seattle, Vancouver and Chicago and then moved on to The Oberoi Udaivilas as head of food and beverage. He helmed various roles and responsibilities with several properties under the Taj Group, Alila Hotels and also worked with The Trident Mumbai. His last assignment was with The Lodhi, New Delhi as vice-president and general manager, where the hotel won several coveted awards under his leadership.

Singh has spearheaded many successful projects and has risen to fame with his distinguished approach and proficiency. He has mentored, managed, and launched over 56 restaurants, bars and lounges across the world during his career. 

His love for culinary arts and food and beverage led him to create and to open the spectacular MKT – All day dining facility at Chanakya in New Delhi. Well-travelled and culturally astute, Singh speaks over 6 languages including German and French, and is passionate about travel, architecture, wildlife, cuisine, wine and viticulture as well as music and cinema.   

In 2019, he was conferred with the prestigious ‘Bharat Shiromani Award’ for being one of the country’s top hoteliers and for his outstanding contributions towards the industry.  He was adjudged the ‘General Manager of the Year 2019’ at the Hotelier India Awards, Spiritz Achievers Awards and Elite Magazine Awards. He also won the ‘Excellence in Luxury Hospitality Award’ by BRICS, Business Forum Leadership Awards 2018 and ‘Visionary Leadership Award’ by Fitness Excellence Awards 2018. 

Singh is a distinguished alumnus of Mayo College, Ajmer, and the Swiss Hotel Management School, Les Roches in Switzerland. He also actively attended executive and senior leadership programmes at IIM, Bangalore, Cornell Hotel School, Columbia Business School and Ecole Hoteliere Lausanne.
