Ahmedabad-based Wagh Bakri Tea Group is set to invest over Rs 100 crore in a new manufacturing plant in Dakor, Gujarat.

The plant, to be operational by Q3/2025, aims to significantly enhance instant tea production and raw material storage. The facility will feature an automatic stock retrieval system (ASRS) to meet increasing consumer demand for convenience products. Instant tea output will rise fivefold to 20,000 packets daily, while storage capacity will grow by 50 percent to accommodate 15-18 lakh chests.

Besides, the company is also investing in e-commerce, quick commerce, digitisation, and artificial intelligence to modernise operations.

The company continues its strategy of innovation, introducing new products monthly and expanding its tea lounges, with 20 new locations added this year and plans to grow incrementally. It experienced double-digit volume growth and maintained its commitment to quality.
