Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation awards first JBS Legacy Grant to Worthington Area Youth Baseball Association

Worthington Area Youth Baseball Association (WAYBA) Board members, JBS officials and Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation, Inc. (WRHCF) held a check presentation, at the JBS Field House to announce a $100,000 grant to WAYBA from the JBS Legacy Fund held by the Foundation. This grant is to be used by WAYBA to complete the upgrade projects currently planned at the Crailsheim baseball field in Worthington. With this grant, all upgrades are scheduled to be completed by fall 2025, pending any significant weather/construction delays.
Jason Turner, board chair of WAYBA, said, “We are so excited about this partnership as we have been working on this for about four years. We are excited about what this project will mean to our kids in our program and our community in general.”
Matt Altman, JBS plant manager, said, “On behalf of JBS we are very excited to see these dollars invested in our community as quickly as they have. We look forward to the future projects as they come around.”
