Ziemann Holvrieka at BrauBeviale 2024 - Sustainable beer & beverage production
Saturday, 28 September, 2024, 15 : 00 PM [IST]
Nuremberg, Germany
At BrauBeviale in Nuremberg, the focus is on beer, wine, spirits and juices.  As a turnkey provider for breweries and beverage production, Ziemann Holvrieka will demonstrate its expertise in the planning and construction of flexible, modern systems in Hall 9, Booth 350. The integration of technically advanced components and supply systems into existing processes is also part of the engineering company’s services. Visitors looking for brewhouse or cold block technologies will find information at the booth about lauter tuns, wort kettles with internal and external heaters, whirlpools, mash filters, fermentation and storage tanks, CIP systems, and piping.

Large milling surface in a compact space
One focal point this year is the new generation of the T-Rex mill, which processes various raw materials. T-Rex’s beating heart is the grinding mechanism. Instead of cylindrical rollers, it features interlocking double-conical discs that create a zigzag-shaped gap. This results in a large processing surface within a small space, resulting in a compact and lightweight mill design. Other advantages include high specific performance, low energy consumption, and simplified maintenance and cleaning.

Low resource and energy consumption
At the international event, Ziemann Holvrieka will also showcase its expertise as a provider of sustainable technologies. To adapt the processes to users’ individual needs, the engineering partner designs systems to be as flexible as possible, while ensuring low resource and energy consumption.  Visitors can learn about specific projects that already meet this standard at the company’s booth – for example, experts will demonstrate how spent grains can be used as a renewable energy source. The company will also showcase BrewSonic, an optimised CIP cleaning system that uses ultrasonic waves, and heat pumps for heating and cooling. This type of temperature management in breweries reduces energy costs and lowers CO2 emissions. The intelligent networking of cooling and heating streams plays a key role in the efficiency of sustainable processes, both ecologically and economically.
