Andhra Pradesh SIPB approves Rs 44,776 crore investment in RE, food processing

The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, approved 15 projects worth Rs 44,776 crore in its third meeting at the Secretariat. With this, the total investment approvals under the coalition government have surpassed Rs 3.1 lakh crore, generating employment for over 3.12 lakh people.

In its first two meetings, SIPB cleared investments worth Rs 83,987 crore and Rs 1,82,162 crore, respectively. The latest approvals focus on renewable energy and food processing sectors, with scope for 19,580 employment opportunities. Navayuga Engineering is set to establish a 1,500 MW renewable energy project in Gojjili, Alluri Sitarama Raju district, and an 800 MW facility in Chitthamvalasa, with a total investment of Rs 14,328 crore, creating 3,450 work opportunities. Megha Engineering and Infrastructure will develop a pumped storage project in Kommuru, Annamayya district, worth Rs 10,300 crore, generating job prospects for 3,000 persons.

Aspari Renewable will set up a 118.80 MW wind power project in Anantapur and Sri Satya Sai districts, investing Rs 972.23 crore and employing 150 people. Ampin Energy Transition and Ecoren will establish a 350 MW wind-solar hybrid power centre in Kurnool and Nandyal with Rs 3,142 crore, potentially generating work opportunities for 1,200 individuals. SAEL Solar plans two 300 MW solar plants in Anantapur, Kadapa, and Nandyal, worth Rs 3,456 crore, creating 2,070 work possibilities. Tata Power will develop a 400 MW solar power centre in Anantapur, investing Rs 2,000 crore and employing 1,380 people. Anantapur Renewable will establish a 178.20 MW wind power project in Anantapur with Rs 972.23 crore, generating 225 jobs.

Kadapa Renewable will develop a 231 MW wind power project in Sri Satya Sai district, worth Rs 1,163.11 crore, employing 300 people. Ecoren Energy India will set up a 201.30 MW wind power project in Anantapur and Sri Satya Sai districts, with an investment of Rs 1,651 crore and 255 jobs. Ayana Renewable Power, under Ecoren, will develop a 498.30 MW renewable energy plant in Kurnool, worth Rs 4,435 crore, creating 630 jobs.
