drink technology India kickstarts with shine and shimmer at grand opening

drink technology India, the international trade fair on beverage, dairy, and liquid food industry, kickstarted on Wednesday at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The event started with ribbon cutting session carried out by dignitaries like Rajinder Singh Bagga, group technical head, Varun Beverages; Bhupinder Singh, CEO, Messe Muenchen India; Chakravarthi AVPS, global ambassador, World Packaging Organization; Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, CEO and secretary general, PHDCCI; Mahadevan Iyer, president, IPMMI; Omar Abu Hamid, head of procurement, Pure Beverages; Petra Westphal, vice president, Yontex GmbH & Co.KG; Vivek Chinoy, vice president, IPMMI; Beatrix Fraese, deputy managing director, VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association; Madan Mohan Varshney, president, MKG Mega Food Pvt Ltd; Ahsan Manji, director, Groupaco Holdings Limited; and Anjana Ghosh, managing director, Scale Sherpas.

The inauguration was followed by VIP tour for dignitaries within the exhibition centre. Organised by Messe Muenchen India, the event is co-located with PackMach Asia Expo and World Tea and Coffee Expo.

The 2024 edition will emphasise technological advancements and sustainability, featuring the latest trends in filling systems, filtration processes, brewing equipment, and packaging innovations. Visitors can also look forward to well-curated conference programmes addressing key topics such as digital transformation, sustainability, and automation, with industry leaders sharing their insights on the future of the beverage, packaging, and processing industries.

One of many exhibitors, Ashutosh Bhatt, associate, gm, sales, Omari India Pvt Ltd, said, "We are exhibiting at this event for the first time and we are here to meet old and new customers and generate lead. Being a packaging machinery company we have launched a machine which packages vegetables, fruits and meat. At the same time, we also have plans to double our existing manufacturing facility. We have a leading customer base like Nestle, Mondelez, Balaji, Bector, Britannia, ITC and Parle."
