FSSAI ad for appointment of Chairperson seeks persons of eminence in Food Science

The FSSAI has issued a fresh advertisement for the appointment for the post of Chairperson in Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
According to the notice, applicants for selection to the office of Chairperson, FSSAI, shall be persons of eminence in the field of Food Science or persons from Administration who have been associated with the subject and either holding or have held a position not below the rank of Secretary to the Government of India.
Relevant work experience related to Central/ State Regulatory Bodies would be a desirable qualification for the position, the notice added.
Applications can be sent to the Union Health Ministry by August 31, 2024, while the tenure of the Chairperson shall be of three years.
